I am now offering telehealth services immediately, which gives me the opportunity to provide care virtually. What does this mean for you? Now you can meet with a dietitian (who understands the challenges of living with multiple sclerosis and other chronic illness) from the comfort of your own home! Meet from anywhere. Enjoy this flexible platform for virtual nutrition counseling. You can opt for a phone appointment or use our HIPAA-certified telehealth platform to have a virtual face to face appointment.
Telehealth allows flexibility with scheduling such as on your work break, after dinner or on the weekends. Convenience of meeting with me from the comfort of your own home. Telehealth sessions are completely HIPAA-compliant and confidential. If you have health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC (BCBSNC), such as Blue Options or Blue Value, then your benefits apply to the telehealth sessions which means there is no cost to you.
There are other policy types from BCBSNC that may include telehealth nutrition services. This information is available from the customer service department, or I am happy to verify this for you. Bottom line: if your BCBSNC policy includes nutrition telehealth services, then there is likely no cost to you!
We are currently contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield. If insurance declines to cover your visit(s) for any reason, you are responsible for the full amount billed. We will do our best to help you confirm benefits.
Even if we don't contract with your insurance, your visits may still be covered by your insurance carrier. If you'd like to submit your visit with us to your insurance for possible reimbursement, be sure to ask for a superbill at your appointment.
Payment is due at the time of service for all self-pay clients. For your convenience, we accept many different forms of payment including major credit cards, HSA, FSA, check or cash.
