Strawberry Avocado Salsa

Fresh strawberries are plentiful this time of year. If you are looking for a new way to enjoy the sweet strawberry goodness consider this sweet, tangy and spicy salsa to add a light but flavorful addition to grilled foods, quesadillas, burritos, tacos or rice and bean dishes.

Yield: 4 1/4 cup servings

Materials

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ¼ cup avocado peeled, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • ½ tsp lime rind grated
  • 2 tsp seeded jalapeño finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp sugar

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl; toss gently. Serve immediately.
